Deposit and Confirmation

To confirm a group accommodation booking we require a deposit to be paid that is equal to the first night of the group accommodation in addition to a signed copy of the contract.

Confirmation

Unless otherwise arranged through the Hotel, all outstanding balances must be settled 7 days prior to arrival.

Validity:

This contract is valid for 7 days from the date of issue (unless extended by mutual agreement and in writing and the rates are only effective if the terms and conditions are signed and returned within 7 days of the date of issue. No formal commitment by the hotel to provide services is implied by this document.

Room Blocks:

No rooms have been reserved for this event.

Rates

The amounts payable to the Canberra Rex Hotel pursuant to this agreement are inclusive of GST and are non commissionable rates.

Cancellation/No Show Policy

The deposit is refundable up until 30 days prior to arrival. All rooms must be confirmed 30 days from the date of arrival. The Canberra Rex Hotel will allow the operator/company to cancel a maximum of 10% of the initial room block within 30 days from the date of arrival. All existing room blocks held within 30 days of arrival will be charged the full rate.

Rooming List

A rooming list must be received by the Hotel no later than 21 days prior to the arrival date. The Canberra Rex Hotel reserves the right to release any rooms not confirmed by a rooming list 21 days of arrival.

Payment

A deposit of the first nights’ accommodation is required unless otherwise arranged through the Hotel, all outstanding balances must be settled 7 days prior to arrival.

Check-in/check-out time

Check in time cannot be guaranteed prior to 14:00 and check out time is 10:00.

Circumstances Beyond the Hotels Control

If the Hotel is unable to provide the facilities or any other arrangements for your event or any part of it or cannot otherwise perform the terms of the Event Order due to circumstances beyond the Hotel’s control, the Hotel is not responsible for any costs, damages or expenses that you may suffer or incur.

Confidentiality

The Operator/Company confirms and agrees that this agreement is confidential between the Operator/Company and the Canberra Rex Hotel and the operator shall not in any circumstance divulge or permit to be divulged the contents of this agreement.

These rates are effective only if the operator signs this contract and the contract is only valid 7 days from the date of issue. No rooms will be held until a signed contract exists. This contract supersedes any prior contract for the selected dates.
